Cindy Crawford on Lesbian Rumors, Men, and Letterman
      October 28, 1996

Cindy Crawford tells Larry King that she wants to put an end to those lesbian rumors that have dogged her ever since she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in 1993, shaving k.d. lang. "Maybe I'll do a cover of Esquire or Men's Journal where I'm shaving you, Larry, and we can change the image," the supermodel says. Cindy also mentions that she remains good friends with former hubby, Richard Gere, and though she is "in like" with a few men, there is no one serious. While Cindy refused to mention who the lucky men were, you can put money down that David Letterman wasn't on the list. Cindy appeared--in heavy blue eyeshadow--on the Late Show last week to promote her new book, Cindy Crawford's Basic Face. When she happened to mention that she had caught a bug while in Africa, David asked, "Is that how you got the black eyes?" Cindy was so upset that when she was off camera, she broke into tears. Dave later tried to make it up to her with a bouquet of flowers.
